Paddle Across Iowa

John Craun plans to paddle across Iowa to help raise money for the hickory Ridge Wilderness amp

John Craun of Newton, Iowa, has paddled over 15,000 miles in the last 15 years since he started building kayaks and canoes. “That Crazy Kayaker,” as he is often known, has not missed paddling in a single calendar month in the past 10 years.

For some of the same reasons thousands of people paddle across Iowa: the challenge, the exercise and the adventure. And also to raise funds for Hickory Ridge Wilderness Camp on Lake Red Rock. Click here to learn more!
